Nutrition for your pup

We try to sneak a little bit of goodness into our treats, whilst still making sure that they are yummy!

All our grain (traditional) biscuits are a base of wheat flour and oats (good fibre and nutrients in the oats). The grain free treats are a base of gram (chickpea) flour. This is a low allergen risk, as some dogs cannot even tolerate rice or potato flour, and this has neither. Gram flour is also high in protein.

Apple Pie – contains fresh apple and cinnamon. Apple is good for fibre and vitamin C. Cinnamon has anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. It is beneficial for dogs who suffer from chronic yeast infections or joint pains and stiffness. We seem to find that this suits a lot of cockerpoos very well.

Carrot, Coriander and Cod Liver Oil – Carrot has vitamin A and C plus fibre, Coriander is good for the breath, Cod Liver Oil is good for the joints.

Chamomile – Like chamomile tea is for humans – calming and soothing. Good to settle stomachs and nerves. Good for dogs who are giddy kippers or high anxiety. Especially useful on car journeys or in unknown places. Useful in situations with loud noises (fireworks). Aids sleep and settling at night, or when leaving dogs alone for a period of time.

Cheese and Spinach – Cheese (calcium) and dogs love it! Spinach has all the benefits associated with green veg (iron, fibre, vitamins). Even dogs who are not fans of greens don’t really notice it!

Ginger Mutts – Anti-emetic (anti sickness). Good for car sickness. Also generally soothing for stomachs and good for joints. Ginger has a lot of health benefits.

Sweet Potato and Banana – Vitamin A and C, potassium and magnesium, plus fibre. Plus dogs seem to love the taste!

Charcoal – An old favourite. Looks a little odd but is very good for the digestion.

All the meat in our treats is the same quality that we would serve our family. It is fresh or frozen mince, with nothing else.

Grain Free Cheese – Just cheese and olive oil. Cheese is yummy and olive oil is good for skin, coat and joints.

Grain Free Peanut Butter Nibbles – Peanut Butter is a popular dog treat. Pure peanut butter (just ground up peanuts). High in protein and good oils.

Grain Free Tuna Fish Fingers – Tuna is a low-fat healthy fish, and is another popular doggy favourite, with protein, vitamins A, C and B12, omega 3 fatty acids and selenium. It may help with protecting heart health.

Grain Free Turmeric and Olive Oil – These ingredients are known for their anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, not only digestively but also for skin, tissues and joints. Dogs seem to love the smell and taste of turmeric!

Grain Free Apple and Strawberry – Apple is a good source of fibre and vitamin C and Strawberry is good for dog’s teeth. It is meant to help whiten them.
